Happy Holidays!

Once again I have waited forever to update this blog. But we have been busy little bees since Halloween. As soon as I can figure out where I stored B's pics from Halloween I will post those as well, but for the moment we have our Christmas card pic. Actually this is an outtake from our picture taking session.

What is it that actors say? Never work with animals or babies. Now I see why. It was fun but stressful. As you can see we ended up having a pretty good time!

Now I am busy planning for Christmas and B's 2nd birthday party. I have set yet another crazy goal with his party this year. A 3-D structure of Elmo. I'll let you know how that all works out.

I am very excited about being able to go to all of our family Christmas events this year. First time in a long time that has happened. As long as the weather cooperates! I can't wait to post lots of cute pics of little B opening his presents.

Pumpkins and gourds?

Well the whole family made it out to the pumpkin patch. Our first trip! B was hilarious. He was running everywhere and trying to do all the activities we would get him close to. He kept trying with all his might to pick up this pumpkin, but finally gave up. Poor little guy!He was so proud of his gourd that he picked right off the vine. His first real "smile for the camera" picture. He loved climbing the mountain of hay. The big kids were to the right and he wanted to do everything they did. Isn't it too early for that?!?

His first experience with a scarecrow and he was definitely scared. He warmed up to it once he touched the clothes and nothing happened. He is so brave.

The picture came out great, but you wouldn't believe what was going on behind the scenes! Oh well, the picture is what we will remember.

We had a great time going to the pumpkin patch for the first time last weekend. B was a trooper! The weather was perfect, but he is still too little to do alot of the activities.

This one was my favorite picture because I was reminded how little he still is. I am so lucky to be B's mommy! And on wonderful family outings like this I hope he feels lucky too.

October Already?

At the request of a fellow blogger, I was told to blog MORE! So, here's an update of my family:

B has been growing so fast it is shocking. My baby has definitely turned into a boy and WOW is he fun! We recently visited our State Fair and B got to see all the animals. I don't know if the other visitors enjoyed his screaming and hysterical laughter, but he had fun.

B also got to ride his first carnival ride. It was a little train and he liked it, but didn't like leaving Daddy by himself!

B also set up his webpage for Trick-or-Treat for Unicef today. He has a pretty lofty goal of $500 this year, so we spent the afternoon setting up his page and sending out emails. I put a link for his webpage on my facebook, so take a look! As a special treat I am including some pics of his "Lil' Stinker" costume from last year. I can't believe it has been a year ago already.

How time flies!

Well, it has been quite awhile since my last update. We have been very busy in my household with family gatherings. I also got a promotion at work that has been in the works for several months.

On a sad note, we lost a cherished family member several weeks ago. Randy Warner of Anthony, KS suffered a work related accident that resulted in his passing. Our family is incredibly saddened by this unexpected loss. I feel lucky to have met and known Randy. He will be greatly missed.

On a lighter note, B is learning many animal sounds these days and it has been a humorous endeavor! It is amazing how, as he gets older, I am enjoying him more and more. I am so proud of my smart little boy.

Vacation Rules!

Enjoyed the beginning of my vacation by visiting family in Anthony and Topeka. Got to see one of my cousins that I haven't seen in years. B got to go swimming in a big pool and he loved it (after awhile). Good times all around.

Bryce is going to be busy soon with tomato picking. Here's a couple pics.

Concert time!

Had a great vacation this week. Five days off! Enjoyed a very eventful July 4th with the family. Monday went to see No Doubt and Paramore in concert. They were awesome. A low key, but really fun vacation.

After the half-birthday

Well the party went off without a hitch. Very small group, but it was tons of fun to get together.

Birthday Bliss

B's half birthday party is tomorrow and I can't wait. I am making ladybug and sunflower cupcakes, homemade ice cream and limeades, and Bryce is manning the BBQ. I love that we do a half birthday for the little guy. He will not feel like he missed out (since his b-day is 4 days after CMAS) ever if I can help it. No presents involved in this party, but he gets to see friends and family. What a great excuse to have people over and socialize!

Summer Lovin'

Loving all of the fun activities that Kansas is offering up this year. Had a great work week, then a family BBQ in town, a family BBQ in A-town, and now a low key Father's day with hubby. B got his daddy a cute picture frame that says "Daddy's Little Man" and a sweet card. I am pretty sure I saw tears in Daddy's eyes!

But what is going on with the mosquitos this year? DANG, they are terrible. We are definitely stocking up on bug spray!

Only 1 week until B's half-birthday. Yesterday I went out and got all (I hope) of the ingredients for the BBQ and for B's birthday cupcakes. We are doing ladybugs and sunflowers. Kindof girly, but he will love the colors and he loves ladybugs. Can't wait to post how it went!

Lovin' Summer

This week was super fun! Finally applied for a promotion at work (took 2 wks to get everything perfect), went to a Relay for Life event with Bryson and had a blast, and saw "The Hangover" movie. A perfect summer week.

Now getting geared up for B's half birthday BBQ. Can't wait to make the cake but can't decide whether to go with the Ladybug cupcakes or a big cake shaped like a flip flop. Only 2 wks to decide!

Starting over...

I finally am getting back into the groove. Summer is here and me and my little guy are ready to whoop it up. From our first time playing in the sprinkler (him, not me) to inflating his first little pool. Summer has always been my favorite season and I hope that I am raising a waterbaby!

Loving work right now. Tons of projects in the fire and the energy is making me more excited than ever. New staff and new responsibilities ahead. Can't wait to see how everything turns out!

Man, This has been the longest week ever. Opening the store by myself right before a holiday was probably not the smartest thing to do. Plus having an mgt help out was stressing me out! Why can't people just read my mind. I will be so glad when Sunday comes. Going to see the fam in KC for an easter egg hunt. Can't wait to see how much B loves it. This year he will be able to look for his basket. It should be a blast. Plus all of the yummy food. Man I hope I don't gain back all of the weight I lost!

So, here goes my first post. I guess I'll just start with what is going on with me today. Just got back from B's Dr. appt. and he is in the 50th percentile on weight, 10th percentile on height and 20th percentile on head circ. Overall pretty good for his 15 month checkup.
Work soon since I will be working a mid, then going to grocery store tonight. Ugh...so much to do before Easter. It has really been a busy 2 wks.
